Liturgy & Music
The Liturgy Committee oversees and makes recommendations to the Pastor in areas pertaining to liturgy and the customs and procedures at La Purisima Parish.

Choir - 10 am:
Maybe you like to sing... Maybe you sang in a choir in high school or college, but have fallen out of the habit and would like to pick it back up again... We'd be happy to have you join us in service to the church. We rehearse Thursday nights from 7-9 PM and sing on Sunday mornings for mass at 10 AM. Come to the 10 AM mass and check us out! If you are interested in singing with our choir, please contact Chris Martin – either after mass, by phone, or e-mail, through our choir's website. Lectors – Fully initiated members of the parish who proclaim the Word of God at Mass, as well as non-Eucharistic liturgies. Lectors serve on a rotating schedule.

Altar Servers – Young people in grades 4 and up are invited to volunteer for this vital liturgical ministry.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word – Actually coordinated through the Faith Formation department, this ministry provides the opportunity for children between the ages of 5 and 12, to listen to the readings of the day in a way specifically designed for their age group. The children are dismissed during the 10 a.m. mass on Sundays. Discussion and prayers are also part of this process.

Adoration Chapel – All parishioners are invited and encouraged to come and offer silent prayer. This devotion in our parish will bring you to a deeper sense of Christ’s closeness to you. Our Parish Adoration Day is the 21st of each month, as well as daily adoration.
