BAPTISM is the beginning of the faith journey of your child. We thank God for creating your child and for sharing with us a sacred sign of His care and love.
- Baptisms are held the First Sundays of each month, at 2:00 pm.
- Baptisms in Spanish are held the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m.
- Baptisms in Vietnamese are held the third Sundays of each month, at 2:00 p.m.
- To be active Catholics.
- To be members of La Purisima Church.
- If parents are from another parish, a letter of permission from their parish is needed.
- Please register in person (not by phone) at the Parish Office
- Bring birth certificate of baby.
Please come to the Parish Office to schedule your child's baptism and to register for the baptism class. Our Baptism classes for both English & Vietnamese baptisms are held on the third Monday of the month, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Fireside Room - Parish Center . This class is best taken before your child is born. If this is not possible, please try to arrange for childcare. Babysitting is NOT provided.
Private Baptisms are discouraged. Baptism is an entrance into God's Family and into the Christian Community, therefore it should be a community celebration.
Baptisms for children over the age of 6 are arranged through the Religious Education office. Please call 633-5344 to inquire.
Baptisms for Adults must be arranged through the R.C.I.A.

Weddings are scheduled for members of the parish only. Please complete an application available in the parish office, at least six months before setting a date for your wedding. Once your application has been submitted, a priest or deacon will contact you. A date cannot be set until you have had an appointment with one of the priests.
Preparation classes are required.
Tuesdays: 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the church
Saturdays: 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m
